Geocaching

Files can be opened if you have the Google Earth application loaded on your system. Files show "geotagged" pictures superimposed on the Google Earth application. The pictures are shown exactly where on the map they were taken. This is done by synchronizing the digital pictures timestamp with the track output from the GPS unit.

The .kmz files are larger (broadband), but load faster on your local system. The .kml files load faster (dial up), but take a while to load the pictures.
